3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange appointments

- To arrange and report tests, and to send you your clinic letter and results
- To take payment and, if you ask us to, deal with your insurer
- To meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations
- To keep the website secure and working properly
We do not use your health information for marketing, and we do not sell your data.
4. Our lawful bases
- Providing your care and booking appointments: performing a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For health information we rely on Article 9(2)(h): the provision of health care by a professional who owes a duty of confidentiality.
- Website enquiries sent through forms: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and, for health details you choose to include, your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal and regulatory obligations: Article 6(1)(c), for example keeping records.
- Website security: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
5. Who we share your information with
We share information only when it is needed for your care, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
- Diagnostic and monitoring providers (imaging centres, and ECG and cardiac monitoring providers) who carry out your tests. They are separate organisations with their own privacy notices, and they send the results to Dr Salloum.
- Your GP or other clinicians: our clinic letters are sent to you, the patient. We share information with your GP or another clinician only if you ask us to or agree to it, or where the law requires it.
- Your insurer, if you ask us to bill them.
- Service providers who process data for us: Zoom (video consultations), Stripe (card payments), our appointment booking system (Amelia, which runs on this website), our website host and Jetpack/WordPress.com (website security and statistics), Google reCAPTCHA (spam prevention on forms), and email and messaging services including WhatsApp (Meta).
- Review providers: this website displays patient reviews from Doctify and Top Doctors, which load content from their servers.
- Regulators or authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep information
We keep medical records in line with the NHS Records Management Code of Practice, which for adult records is generally at least 8 years after the last contact. Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Payment records are kept as required for accounting and tax purposes.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information (subject access)
- correct inaccurate information
- erase information in certain circumstances (medical records may need to be kept by law)
- restrict or object to some processing
- provide your information in a portable format
- stop processing that relies on your consent
To use these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, including for security, booking and card payments. It also loads content from third parties, such as patient reviews from Doctify and Top Doctors and website statistics from Jetpack, which may set their own cookies or collect usage information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, parts of the website, such as the review displays, may not work.
9. Contacting us by WhatsApp, email and telephone
You can contact us by WhatsApp, email or telephone. Please do not send detailed medical information or test results by WhatsApp or ordinary email unless you accept that these channels are not as secure as our booking and consultation systems. In an emergency, call 999. Do not use messaging for urgent symptoms.
